Heart disease patients should develop a habit to exercise daily and regularly.
Walking is a good exercise. You should learn how to walk and some basic guides before exercise.
Precautions:
1. You should find a relax and suitable rhythm of walking.
2. You should avoid walking on the slope.
3.* You should have TNG drugs in your bags.
4. You should wear dry and light sportwears. Sportwear should not be too tight or too loose.
5. Before walking, you should do warm-up and stretching exercise, for example, swing your legs, circling exrercise for the shoulders.
6. After exercise, you should do cool-down exercise, for example, bend and extend your arms and legs.
7. If you are too hungry or eat too much , too cold or too hot, you are not suitable to go for a walking exercise.
8. If you are too tired, moody, try to find a joyful thing before walking.
9. If you are discomfort during exercise especially the signs or symptoms of heart disease, you should stop exercise at once.
You should consult your consultants, doctors or physiotherapists before you continue exercise.
10. Walking is a joyful exercise. You should start at a short period and progress it slowly. For example, 5-10 minutes for the 1st week, 10-15 minutes for 2nd week and 15-20 minutes for 3rd week. It is no way to force yourself to progress walking exercise exceeds your limits.
11. Progression up to 30 minutes and walk twice a day are enough. Too much exercise is not good for your health and ideal exercise.

Optimal Heart Rate range = (220 - AGE) X 60 - 80%
